Can a person work in the criminal justice field if convicted of a DUI & found not guilty for murder?

WH asked:

Can a person work in the criminal justice field(corrections, parole, probation, attorney, or any law enforcement capacity) , if being convicted of a DUI & going on trial for murder but being found not guilty disqualifies them from being a police officer?

  1. I really doubt that person will get hired quite honestly. The system is supposed to be innocent until prov en guilty but it doesn’t always work that way.

Your question sounds like it has a twist? Were you guilty of OWI? and you got off of a murder charge? Were both charges acquitted in court?
I need more info on this case.

  3. A DUI shouldn’t cost you a job in law enforcement. It’s amisdemeanor. How did you get off murder charges?? Was it reduced to manslaughter or thrown out - lack of evidence, hung jury? You would have to explain the situation.
