Is it possbile to sue for attorney fees?

attorney fees
!@#$$ asked:

I live in Georgia, My children’s father filed contempt charges against me for a previous court order. I hired an attorney to represent me on the charge. Two days before the court date he filed to the court to have the case dismissed and provided no reason. The case was dismissed and taken off the calendar. I have already paid my attorney and he had prepared for the case. Can I recover my attorney fees from my children’s father?

Yes. The court frowns on those types of things that clog up the system.

  2. Absolutely. Tell your lawyer you want to seek costs from your ex. You won’t recover everything cause the lawyer will want a little more for seeking the costs.

I would contact an attorney about this issue. Make sure your best interest was considered, they may find fault with the representation that you had.
