FLORIDA DUI
Fire Halo asked:

I am applying for an engineering job, and they want to check my driving record. If they see it, I hope they dont care, but I hope they can’t see it.

  1. I could, if the two states have a reciprocal agreement.

  2. YES, they transfer through the data base, plus on the application that question is asked

It sould,if you still drink you are killing yourself and if you drive who knows who else you may kill

  4. Well to let you know a little thing like this happened to me. I got busted for dui in 1986-in Illinois. I live in Wisconsin and have a good license. My dui conviction will not let me drive in Illinois until I go down there and make good on that conviction. I can drive in all other 49 states and have no problem. I do not have a license as far as Illinois is concerned.

  5. i doubt 1 DUI from that long ago will prevent you from getting the job. employers look for patterns and if that is your only one then you are probably safe. my ex bf got his engeneers lisense and a job with about 5 convictions showing for theft and all kinds of stuff. then again he can sell an ice box to an eskimo, so that may have helped in his favor. however if you have an engeneers certification then any future DUI’s can get it revoked and you’ll be up s*** creek. so quit drinking and driving.

btw you should be able to go down to the DMV or state police and have them run a check to see if it is showing on your current lisense. they’ll probably charge you about $10, but at least you’ll know either way.

  6. as i law officer any thing on your driving record will carry over in any state until the local department of motor vehicle removes it. witch could take up to three year’s.
